The Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS offers the opportunity to study in the library and archives and the necessary research facilities for foreign researchers in Bohemian Studies within the framework of scholarships provided by the CAS.

Currently, it is possible to apply for the Josef Dobrovský Fellowship, intended for foreign researchers (usually under 35 years of age) who need to study local historical, cultural, artistic, linguistic, geographical or natural realities in the Czech Republic for their scientific work.

The application for the Josef Dobrovský Fellowship for the selected researcher is submitted by the director of the given department of the CAS after discussion in the department’s council and with its recommendation. The MIA CAS accepts applications until 31 January and 31 July each year.
