Postdoctoral Fellowship in Asian American Studies

Cornell University’s Asian American Studies Program invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship to begin Fall 2017. Candidates should have received their Ph.D. within the past three years. While we will consider applications from all fields, preference will be given to those whose work in Asian American studies has been undertaken within the fields of political science, media and visual studies, comparative literature, or sociology.

The course load will be 2:1 (with the distribution of teaching over the two semesters to be determined through mutual consultation), and the fellowship recipient should be able to teach the program’s core course, “Introduction to Asian American Studies.” The fellowship recipient will also be expected to participate in the extracurricular programming sponsored by the Asian American Studies Program.

Review of applications will begin April 15, 2017, and will continue until the position is filled.
