The Kemper and Leila Williams Prize in Louisiana History, offered annually by The Historic New Orleans Collection and the Louisiana Historical Association since 1974, recognizes excellence in research and writing on Louisiana. The prize, which includes a cash award of $1,500 and a plaque, is presented each March at the LHA’s annual meeting.
The New Europe College (NEC Bucharest) and the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS Sofia) announce a Call for Applications for their joint programme to support scholars from the regions affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine. The programme is aimed at qualified researchers (post-doctoral level) in the humanities and the social sciences, including law and economics, who intend to pursue a project of their own choosing.
The Centre for the Study of Balkan Societies and Cultures CSBSC awards the Karl Kaser Prize for Historical Anthropology in Southeastern Europe (dissertation level and higher)
The prize is awarded to young researchers (maximum age: 35 years) for outstanding achievements in the above-mentioned field.
Prize money: 3,000 euros
To help maintain the UK’s international standing as a desirable research destination that is open to talented individuals from all countries
Applications are encouraged from universities seeking to recruit excellent research leaders of any nationality, currently working outside the UK, in order to fill strategically important positions in this country. The Trust has allocated at least £100 million over five years to fund these grants. Grants are for a period of five years.
Each UK university is permitted to make only one bid per round.
The Swiss Society for the History of Medicine and Science invites applications for the Henry-E.-Sigerist-Prize for the promotion of early career scholars in the history of medicine and science.

The prize was founded in 1967 by Mr. and Mrs. Guggenheim-Schnurr from Basel in order to award outstanding young scholars in the field of history of medicine and science. It is conferred by a jury on behalf of the Swiss Society of the History of Medicine and Sciences.
