The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Buddhism Public Scholars Professional Positions at Museums

The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Buddhism Public Scholars Fellowships in Buddhist Studies places recent recipients of the PhD in professional positions at host institutions (museums, libraries, and publications) that present and interpret knowledge of Buddhist traditions. The selected Buddhism Public Scholars will use their academic knowledge and professional expertise to bolster the capacity of host institutions in the area of Buddhist art and thought in any tradition and location where Buddhism is practiced.

Inspired by the cooperation of generations of Early Career Researchers at the Center for Advanced Studies Southeast Europe, University of Rijeka and the creation of long-term academic synergies within Southeast Europe declared at the 2023 Rectors’ Forum of Southeast Europe and Western Balkans, we are pleased to announce the

CALL FOR FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS AT THE REGIONAL NETWORK OF CENTERS FOR ADVANCED STUDIES IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE (RECAS)

Egyptian Associate Researcher at the IFAO

The IFAO offers one position as Egyptian Associate Researchers. The researcher is appointed for a term of one year from 1st January 2024 to 31 December 2024, renewable twice, i.e. until 31st December 2026.

The deadline for applying is October 31, 2023.

The amount of the grant is 4000 EGP per month (except for August).

A committee will proceed to a first selection; the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in November at the IFAO. During the interview, the candidates will present their research project, in English or in French.

The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Early Career Research Fellowships in Buddhist Studies

Early Career Research Fellowships offer support for research and writing in Buddhist Studies for pre-tenure scholars holding a PhD degree, with priority given to those teaching full-time. These fellowships provide scholars time free from teaching and other responsibilities to concentrate on research and writing for the project proposed. 

Harold T. Shapiro Postdoctoral Research Associate in Bioethics

The Princeton University Center for Human Values invites applications for the Harold T. Shapiro Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioethics for a possible available position starting in September 2024. The Shapiro Fellowship supports outstanding scholars studying ethical issues arising from developments in medicine, the biological sciences, or population health. We particularly encourage proposals focusing on problems of practical importance that have broader theoretical interest.

La subvention peut être octroyée annuellement et alternativement par la Classe des Sciences, la Classe des Lettres, la Classe des Arts ou la Classe Technologie et Société à partir de l'an 2000.

La subvention est attribuée par la Classe des Arts, soit sous forme de Prix-crédit de recherche en vue d'un article ou d'un ouvrage, soit sous fgorme d'aide à la publication.

La recherche et la publication doivent avoir trait à (l’histoire de) l'art dans le territoire actuel de la Belgique, à toutes les époques.

Fonds Van Riet

Périodicité quadriennale

Le projet de recherche subsidié par le Fonds Van Riet devra concerner les diciplines cultivées par Simone Van Riet, à savoir l’histoire de la philosophie et des sciences de l’époque médiévale, spécialement dans les domaines byzantins, arabes et arabo-latins.

La qualification de l’auteur du projet subsidié sera au moins celle d’un doctorant.

Les projets présentés seront rédigés en langue française ou en langue anglaise.
