FRIAS SENIOR FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

The program is aimed at scientists with at least eight years of postdoctoral research experience, holders of tenure-track professorships, and full-time professors. The fellowships enable the researchers to carry out their own research projects. Full-time presence at FRIAS is expected.

Who: Scientists with doctoral and postdoctoral degrees and at least eight years of research experience

(a) six months’ research experience after their PhD at academic institution(s) in a country different from the country of their first academic degree

OR

(b) received a Master/PhD/ received tenure or equivalent in a country different from the country of their first academic degree. Short stays such as holidays, conferences or summer schools are not considered.

Disciplines: Applications are welcome from all disciplines that can be supported at the University of Freiburg. 

Period of funding: 3 to 8 months (between September and August)
